Our Member of The Family Program – Ideal For Dogs Of All Ages!

The help you need where you need it the most; in your own home and neighborhood!  Private, in-home dog training is the fastest, most comprehensive way for you, your family, and your pup to learn.

Our Member of the Family training program has two parts – both are Pay As You Go (no long-term contracts!) so you get to decide exactly how much dog training you need.  

Basic Manners:  This program will teach your dog how to be a valued member of your family at home, off-leash, because that’s real-life!  The standard cues and behaviors are:
• Sit 
• Down 
• Stay
• Come
• Loose-Leash Walking
• Leave It
• No Jumping

Graduates are eligible to continue on to our Real World Obedience.

Real World Obedience:*  This dog training program adds distractions, distance, duration and overall generalization to the cues above.  We’ll work on-leash in your neighborhood so that your dog will have the same manners and self-control in public (i.e. on the street, in your car, at the vet, the groomer, the dog park, a friend’s house, on the beach, on a hike…etc.), as he does at home.

*PREREQUISITE:  Owner must have a basic understanding of the principles of how to mark behavior with the use of a verbal marker and be able to get their dog to respond without the use of a leash or corrective collar.

Our lessons typically last 1 ½ hours so that everyone involved in the training has enough time to practice each step as well as ask questions, and most people have quite a few!  Since my focus is on pet training, not competition, I also spend time helping you understand how to use your new education in real-life situations and how to use real-life as your dog’s reward!
